The general community and the University of Cristobal Colon in Veracruz, Mexico, receive the news of the appointment of the new Rector who will take the helm of our beloved University of Cristobal Colon in the person of Fr. Javier Alonso SchP, who is moving from the city of Carora in Venezuela (Province of Central America and the Caribbean), to the city of the Port of Veracruz, Mexico.
Fr. Javier Alonso SchP is currently Father General’s Delegate for an Irreplaceable Ministry, and will take up the institutional responsibility at the end of January 2024. He is the successor of Fr. José Manuel Asún SchP, who has completed 10 years of continuous work. Father General Pedro Aguado and the General Congregation are grateful for the availability of Fr. Javier Alonso SchP to take the helm of this work of Higher Education in the Order, as well as the praiseworthy and persevering work that Fr. José Manuel Asún SchP carried out for the benefit of the University youth and the educational quality of the Institution in Mexico.
