The 260 young people of the Province of Poland welcomed the New Year at the Saint Joseph Calasanz School in Rzeszów. The animators of the Piarist presences in this city in the south-east of the country, together with Frs Mateusz Kaźmierski and Krzysztof Świderski, prepared the programme for the days from 30 December to 1 January 2026.
The participants bid farewell to the previous year by spending two days together, sharing, enjoying themselves and praying. The evening Eucharist was celebrated in our parish church of Saint Joseph Calasanz. On the same day, they visited the old town of the city, taking part in an urban game. They also made use of the time to practise sport, play board games and get to know one another through conversation. The New Year’s Eve celebration began with the traditional Polish dance “Polonez”. In this way, Piarist youth entered the new year of their shared pastoral journey.
