The Piarist Youth gathered from 30 December 2023 to 1 January 2024 in Rzeszów to celebrate the New Year’s Eve Meeting. More than 220 people from Elbląg, Poznań, Łowicz, Bolesławiec and guests from Wądroż Wielki, Jelenia Góra – Cieplice, Katowice, Krakow: Rakowice, Wieczysta, Akacjowa from primary and secondary schools, from Rzeszów from the Piarist parish and school and from the Piarist Sisters took part.
On Saturday the musical accompaniment of the Eucharist in the parish of St. Joseph Calasanz in Rzeszów was provided by the parish children’s choir directed by Gabriela Wąsacz. Then the participants watched the play entitled “Many years and (un)happy”, performed by the “Atmosfera” Theatre, a youth group from the same parish. There was also a sweet surprise for everyone: cotton candy.
On Sunday, the tourist visits to the capital of the Podkarpacie region took part in a game coordinated by Sr Monika Duc. A Piarist dance workshop was led by Bro. Łukasz Fabijański. Przemysław Suchy entitled “Something ends and something begins” the monitors led small group dialogues for sharing.
The New Year’s Eve party started in the evening. After a small fireworks display, the mass was held, and after the mass, the party continued until dawn.
