Last April I had the chance to canonically visit our Vice-Province of the Californias. I visited each community, each site, each Piarist presence. I got a thorough understanding of the reality of our life and mission in that challenging zone of our world. There I met Omar, a youth about to turn fifteen years of age, and was working as a teacher in one of the over twenty Schools that the Piarists of Mexicali have developed (the one at Hardy River), with the responsible collaboration of many people whom identify themselves with this project–that of task schooling- one so deeply Piarist.
