On 9 December 2023, Krzysztof Świderski, who bears in the Order the name of Jesus meek and humble, was ordained deacon by Auxiliary Bishop Janusz Mastalski of Krakow. The ceremony took place in the Church of the Most Holy Name of Mary in Krakow.
In his homily, Mgr Mastalski addressed these words to the Piarist candidate for the diaconate: “Remember then that God trusted you, the Order trusted you. Think of your mother, who gave you to the Order, who gave you a piece of her love. And think that this love cannot be let down. You must be the strong link. You have to pray that there will be more like you in your Order. When you bear witness, someone will say: I want to be like him, I want to be a good priest, I want to become a Piarist. May the Lord fill us, may we enjoy this day, and may he guide us. Amen.”
Deacon Krzysztof Krzysztof Świderski lives in the community of Krakow in the Wieczysta district where he carries out his pastoral service in the parish with the young people of the confirmation preparation groups and a large group of altar boys.
