Fr. Pedro Aguado, Sch. P. Father General and the General Congregation continue the work of promoting in the Circumscription a deep reflection on the cultural rhythm of the demarcations and the opportunities for deep changes for a more authenticity and integral living of our Piarist identification in the world.

The keys of cultural change that the General Congregation has underlined on the basis of the 48th General Chapter, require a great personal and community disposition of active listening, of renewing dynamics in our community conversations, and of a deep personal and community discernment.

Day Three

Conversation in the Spirit has been a methodology put into practice during the last Synod of the Church. This methodology helped us to rediscover our Christian vocation as disciples of Christ who are listening to the Holy Spirit.

In this way, Fr. Pedro Aguado, Sch. P. invited the participants to continue with discipline, but also with great faith and hope in order to converse with the Holy Spirit and with the community of brothers. It was a day of work throughout the day, and the fruits of the meetings were shared in assembly.

Fourth day

Fr. Pedro Aguado, Sch. P. invited the demarcations to discuss the fruits shared the previous day, to exchange impressions on discernment. Above all, how to transmit to the demarcations what they had experienced. Moreover, to inspire all the African Piarist presences in order to promote this cultural change in others, always with the good of so many children and young people in mind.

Finally, Fr. Roland Markus presented to the plenary the trajectory of the Calasanz Movement in Africa and in the Order.

The General Congregation ended the days of the Piarist Days in Africa with the Eucharist presided by Fr. Pedro Aguado and animated by the General Congregation.

This good news is for many an opportunity for personal and community renewal for a better Piarist presence in the world of children and young people: the backdrop of the spirituality of the Construction of the Pious Schools.
