The Pious Schools of West Africa share with us two significant moments of growth and sustainability of the demarcation: the entry into the novitiate in Sokone for the year 2023 and the profession of simple vows celebrated in the same city by six of our brothers at the end of their novitiate year.
ENTRY INTO THE NOVITIATE IN SOKONE 2023
On Friday evening, 15 September 2023, the ceremony of entry into the novitiate year took place in the Order of the Pious Schools in West Africa. 11 young people from Senegal, Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo and Congo officially took the step of living this canonical year of initiation into the piarist religious life. PROFESSION OF TEMPORARY VOWS, SOKONE 2023
A day of celebration, a day of joy. On Saturday 16 September 2023, the Piarists of West Africa welcomed into their midst 6 new brothers who have courageously said “yes” to the call of Christ through religious profession. This act was carried out in the parish of Sainte Thérèse de Sokone by the Reverend Father Samson Djitaba EHEMBA, Provincial of the Pious Schools of West Africa. During this Eucharistic celebration, the assembly witnessed the commitment of our brothers: Syrus, Maxime, Olivier, Bonaventure, Paulin and Yves, who took vows of chastity, poverty, obedience and education in complete freedom and without constraint. We ask you to remember them in your prayers so that the Lord may complete in them what he has begun so well.
