From 21 to 23 November 2025, young people passionate about theatre gathered at the Queen of Peace Piarist Schools in Łowicz to take part in the fifteenth edition of the Piarist Theatre Festival. More than 100 young actors from the Piarist presences of Bolesławiec, Bolszewo, Łowicz, Kraków, Poznań and Warsaw took part, performing their plays on this year’s main theme, which was related to the family. They prepared theatrical studies, pantomimes, dramatic works and comedies.

Below we publish the list of the plays with their titles, the names and origins of the groups, as well as the surnames of the scriptwriters and directors:

  1. “The Happy Do Not Feel Happiness”, performed by a high school group from Bolesławiec; script: Stanisław Skupień; direction: Szymon Pałka.
  2. Monodrama “Raw Material”, prepared by Gabriela Tarczyńska, also from Bolesławiec.
  3. “In Search of Their ‘Self’”, performed by the parish group from Bolszewo; script: Justyna Białek; direction: Marek Czoska.
  4. “Paths of Destiny”, a play by the group “Mimesis” from the parish of Bolszewo, directed by Marek Czoska.
  5. “I Would Like to Be Your Wings”, performed by the host school group from Łowicz, directed by Beata Jeziorowska.
  6. “The United Family that Pulls the Radish – Comic Theatre based on J. Tuwim”, prepared by the “Radishes” group from the primary school in Kraków, directed by Klaudia Puterko.
  7. “Closed Registration”, presented by the high school group from Kraków, “The Drawer Troupe”, directed by Amadine Duma.
  8. “Pastoral Carol from the Bieszczady”, by the “Young Talents Studio” of the primary school in Warsaw, directed by Beata Zaborek.

This year, among the experts who assessed and supported the young actors were the performers Jakub Michalak, Iga Maciejewska, Jakub Stępień and Milena Frej from the university theatre “Antrakt” of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. The experts gave the actors feedback on each performance, as well as ideas and encouragement to continue their work. In addition, they led workshops for the participants on working with one’s own body, diction, intonation, communication within the group and proxemics. The panel of experts also appeared before the audience with their own play entitled “Secret Story”.

During the intense weekend, there was also time for a short sightseeing tour of the city of Łowicz, for community prayer and the Eucharist, as well as for an integration activity with dancing.

This event could not have taken place without the great commitment of the organisers: Beata Jeziorowska, Fr. Marek Barczewski and a large group of animators from Łowicz, who took care of every aspect of the meeting, looking after every detail.
