As every year, the Church where the remains of our father, teacher and founder St. Joseph Calasanz rest, hosted again a great joy for the demarcations of Central Africa, West Africa, Asia Pacific and Bethany. On 29 July, 21 Piarist Brothers professed their solemn vows before God with which they wish to embrace forever the project of Jesus and his Kingdom through childhood and youth, as a Piarist does. The brothers were accompanied by their demarcational superiors or delegates of their provincials. Father General Pedro Aguado of Jesús de Nazaret, received on behalf of the whole Order the “yes” of the young Piarists. The brothers who accompanied the celebration were the members of the Calasanz Route, the Piarist sisters, the brothers of the community of the Nazarene and the special guests of our brothers.
On the other hand, the next day, July 30, 19 brothers received the Order of Diaconate by the hands of Monsignor Carlos Curiel, Piarist bishop in Carora, Venezuela. The imposition of hands and the prayers of the community prayed for the 19 deacons, as well as for 3 new priests for the Church and the Pious Schools. Of the three deacons ordained as priests, two are from the Asia Pacific Province (Archie and Ramil) while the first Piarist from Bethany in Timor, Pedro Da Cruz, was ordained.
Congratulations for this simple and meaningful moment of encounter and thanks to Fr. General and the community of San Pantaleo for doing their best to actively accompany the confreres who professed their solemn vows and who were ordained deacons and priests.
