Fr. Sergio SERENI of Mary, Help of Christians, was re-elected by the Provincial Chapter at the age of 71. Fr. Sereni was born in Bibbiena, Italy, on August 30, 1951.
The re-elected Provincial made his first simple profession on September 29, 1968, in what was then the Province of Tuscany; he made his solemn profession on October 2, 1976, while he was ordained priest on November 26, 1977.
Fr. Sereni was Provincial Assistant of the former Province of Tuscany and then Vicar Provincial and Provincial Assistant of the current Italian Province from 2007-2011. At various times, Fr. Sereni also served as rector, institute director and provincial treasurer. Since 2019, he has served as Provincial Superior.
We pray for Fr. Sergio Sereni that his ministry of leadership and accompaniment of the Italian Province will be illuminated by the light of Christ.
