Father General Pedro Aguado and Father József Urbán (Assistant General for Asia) visited the Piarist presence in India from 5 to 19 January to carry out the Sectoralised Canonical Visitation, whose main objectives are threefold: initial formation, the Young Adult Religious and the Provincial Congregation. They were accompanied by Fr. Alex Djouseé, Secretary General.
At the end of the visit, there was a large meeting with the Provincial Congregation, with the aim of sharing the plans and projects that are being developed following the Chapter processes, as well as the keys to the life of the 48th General Chapter. They were very intense and enriching days, in which they were able to share in depth about the reality of the Vice-Province and the Keys of the Order.
During the visit, Father General met with the Young Adult religious in an atmosphere of retreat and fraternal encounter for three days.
Fr. Pedro Aguado and Fr. Jószef Urbán visited all the formandi of the Vice-Province and met with all the formators. They participated in the annual celebrations of the colleges of Kanyakumari and Kamda, and blessed the new building of the formation house in Torpa, in the state of Jharkhand. There was an opportunity to meet and get together with all the Piarist communities.
We thank God for the Piarist life that is growing little by little in India, where the charism of St. Joseph Calasanz is consolidating in so many places and people
