In the Province of the USA-PR a project has been undertaken in the city of Hialeah, Miami. It is a parish and a parish school run by the Piarist community. Father Ricardo Rivera is the Principal of the School while Father Luis Cruz is the Parish Prist of the Church of St John the Apostle. In the same community, Father Félix Ganuza is the one who accompanies the children in projects of care for nature. Fr. Orlando Rodríguez is the Master of the novices: Ismael and Jafet.
During this visit, Fr Pedro Aguado visited the school recently taken over by the Province and planted a tree in the school garden with the help of the children and young people of the school. He also participated in the painting of the mural of hope that the students, teachers and Piarists had done for the Jubilee Year: Pilgrims of Hope.
On the other hand, the Province has also made progress in the project of participation in the Pious Schools. Fr. Pedro Aguado also met with the first community of the Fraternity who, with their presence, are strengthening their presence in the work of the Piarists. They carry in their hearts a deep gratitude to Fr Mario Vizcaíno, Sch. P. (+ 2024).
Two seeds that will germinate in the Province of the USA-PR and that will mark the passage of Calasanz in the hearts of so many children and young people who are cared for in Piety and Letters.
