The Vice-Provincial Chapter of India began on 17 April, presided over by Fr. General. Fr. Abilash Appu was elected secretary of the chapter, and Fr. Georges Gabriel was elected assistant secretary.
The inaugural Eucharist was presided over by the Archbishop of Bangalore, Archbishop Peter Machado, who exhorted the capitulants to look at the past and the future as challenges for our present.
The Chapter is being held at the Spirituality House of the Discalced Carmelite Fathers in Bangalore.
