On Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Parish of Saint Mary Mother of God of Daloa, two days after the feast of Saint Pompilio Maria, Msgr. Marcellin Yao KOUADIO, the Bishop of Daloa, was surrounded with many priests and religious as well as the parish community during the Eucharistic celebration that saw PP. Dorgelais ZINGBE and Guy GANGNON enter the Order of Priests.
In his exhortation, Mgr. Marcellin recalled that the 2 new priests were donating their lives and now had the task of collaborating with the bishops in the triple task of teaching, sanctification, and government. He entrusted them to the Virgin Mary our benevolent Mother by inviting young people to take an example from their elders, who like them are young and prove by their consecration that the answer to the Lord’s call is indeed possible.
The joy was great that day especially since the 2 new priests are added to the list of Piarist religious priests from the Diocese of Daloa, while the Province commemorates that same year the 30 years of Piarist presence in Ivory Coast. In thanksgiving, the eyes turn to the Lord who is at the origin of all vocations and at the basis of their growth and completion.
