The Cathedra San José de Calasanz (under the patronage of the Piarist Fathers) at the Pontifical University of Salamanca invites to the programme of conferences and academic activities on the occasion of the centenary of the pedagogical legacy of Don Lorenzo Milani (1923-2023), who, like Calasanz, perceived from the secular clergy that the school was essential.
The programme includes conferences such as: “The legacy of Lorenzo Milani in the current Spanish Education” or “The impact of Barbiana in the personal sphere and the Italian school“. The activities include the screening of a documentary “Goodbye Barbiana” as well as the presentation of “One Hundred Letters of Milani in his Centenary“.
The Calasanz Cathedra will take place at the Pontifical University of Salamanca, Faculty of Education, in the main campus. On 27th and 28th November 2023. Registration is still open.
