‘You are the guide of hope for the children and young people of today’ – said Father Mateusz Pindelski at the Eucharistic celebration in which Jan Furman, Junior of the Province of Poland, made his solemn vows. The ceremony took place on 12 October 2024 in the parish of Our Lady of Mercy in Kraków-Wieczysta. As provided for in the Constitutions of our Order, Jan changed the name of the religious life from St James to St Faustino Míguez. As he himself explained, he did this after his visit to Getafe during the Calasanctian Route. On this important day for Jan, he was accompanied by his relatives, the Piarist Fathers and the Piarist Sisters, religious men and women from other congregations. Teachers and students from the school in Łowicz, where Jan spent a year gaining pastoral experience, were also present in large numbers. The participants were around four hundred boys and girls from the Piarist Youth Meeting. The solemn profession was a joyful and at the same time very moving event, which gives the province more hope.
