In the first days of February, the Province of Argentina experienced with deep joy a series of vocational events that renew hope and strengthen the Piarist mission in these lands. Three celebrations, close in time and profound in meaning, manifest God’s faithfulness, who continues to call and sustain.
On Saturday, 7 February, the clothing and beginning of the Novitiate of five young men took place: Marcos, Iván, Santiago, Nicolás and Lautaro. With this step, they begin a decisive stage of discernment and deeper configuration with Christ, following in the footsteps of Saint Joseph Calasanz, in a time marked by prayer, fraternal life and integral formation.
One week later, on Saturday, 14 February, in the early hours of the morning, the entrance into the Pre-Novitiate of Víctor, Matías, Tiago, Gabriel, Bautista and Facundo was celebrated. This moment marks the beginning of a path of accompaniment and vocational maturation, in which these young men dispose themselves to listen more attentively to the Lord’s call within the Piarist family.
On that same day, during the celebration of Holy Mass, the Order was once again blessed with the simple profession of Álbaro Martín Allende and Gregorio Míguez Casey, who, through their simple vows, publicly expressed their desire to consecrate their lives to God in the educational and pastoral service of children and young people, especially the poorest.
We give thanks to the Lord, who continues to call new labourers to His abundant harvest, and we entrust to Mary, Mother of God, the protection and faithful growth of these vocations.
