Lord, take my new life before my waiting for years wear out on me. I’m willing to whatever you want no matter what You call me to serve. Take me where men need your words, need my desire to live, where hope is lacking, where joy is simply lacking, for not knowing about You.. “.

The Piarist province of Brazil Bolivia celebrated, with great joy, the priestly ordination of Justino Soria and Benito Morales and the diaconal ordination of Wilson Siles in the city of Cochabamba, on February 23, 2020, in the Eucharist presided over by Mgr Carlos Carlos Curiel, auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Cochabamba.

The religious ceremony was concelebrated by the Piarist Fathers, who came from various parts of Bolivia and Brazil, and was animated by young people from the Calasanz Movement. Members of the Piarist Fraternity, young people from the Calasanz Movement, family and friends of the ordained and the Piarist communities of Anzaldo, Cocapata and Cochabamba also participated in the celebration. It was a joyful moment of thanksgiving to God for the life of the religious and for their vocational response to God, following in the footsteps of Saint Joseph Calasanz.

Mgr Carlos, in the liturgy, reflected on the Lord’s call to ministry, service to the Word of God and to brothers and sisters. Addressing the ordained, he spoke of the importance of the diaconate as a gift to the poor, to the simple, to those who need the Good News. He emphasized the value of education for us, Piarists, as a means to free the best of the other. He asked Wilson, Benito and Justin to live, with all their heart, with all their soul, with all their being, the ministry, taking care to wash the feet of the poor, children and young people. May they be like our Father Joseph Calasanz, renewing their vocation every day in the Pious Schools, promoting life through the education of children, adolescents and young people and that they would maintain the passion for Christ, for the church, for humankind and for living people.

To the people gathered, he instructed them not to sit idly by until life in abundance reaches all people. Let us not tire of being merciful and let the Spirit move our hearts. He emphasized that we are all invited to serve, with tenderness and love.

At the end of the celebration, Justino, Benito and Father Javier thanked all those who participated in this special time for the Pious Schools and who collaborated in the vocational response of the ordained religious, for the love of God, the Church and Education .
